As the agency of record for Husky’s retail fuel business since 2014, we’ve worked closely with the Husky marketing team on a variety of projects. We’ve refreshed the brand to create a more contemporary look and feel. We’ve also created integrated campaigns using corporate videos, digital ads, direct-mail pieces, radio spots and billboards. In 2019 we took charge of user experience and design for the revamped myHusky App.

My Husky App
Helping a national fuel retailer grab market share
A prime focus of our marketing work has been to boost sales at the pump and in Husky’s convenience stores. When Husky decided to retool its app, we knew that it could help with these tasks by opening a new digital marketing channel. We also knew it needed to make life easier for customers.


An app for people on the go
We led the design and customer experience aspects of the redesign, creating a high-fidelity prototype in just three days. We conducted surveys and pored over usage data to get a granular understanding of Husky’s customers.This was indispensable to designing an app that met users’ needs. It also came in pretty handy when we created a multi-phase marketing campaign across digital (display, SEM, social media) and traditional (POS, out-of-home and radio) channels to augment our reach and launch with a bang.

Fine-tuning an ongoing campaign
The data delivered by the myHusky App allows for campaign optimization. We focused on awareness, customer acquisition, customer retention and boosting fuel sales. Throughout the campaign we supported the overarching myHusky Rewards customer loyalty program. It was fun and effective.
Results from spring 2019 showed:
- 11% increase in rewards program members
- 95% increase in app downloads
- 97% increase in account onboarding
